Kesher

Join The Associated’s Baltimore-Ashkelon Partnership Kesher (Connections) program, now launching its third cohort! This one-year program, co-chaired by Randi Hertzberg and Neil Leikach, is geared toward men and women ages 45+ interested in establishing meaningful relationships and a greater understanding of their sense of Jewish peoplehood by building a living bridge between Baltimore and Ashkelon, Israel.

Join us for a virtual Kesher information session on May 29 at 12:00 p.m. EST.

Join past Kesher participants and Kesher leadership from Baltimore and Ashkelon to learn about the new cohort and how meaningful this experience will be for you! Contact Aviva Schwartz to learn more and to register.

Program Highlights:

  • Join a cohort of your peers from Baltimore through immersive and interactive conversations about Jewish identity and connection to community and Israel – while having fun!
  • Host our friends from Ashkelon in our homes during their visit to Baltimore. The week will be spent participating in hands-on and innovative programming to get to know one another while showcasing Baltimore and the Jewish community! This will take place March 5-12, 2026.
  • Travel to Ashkelon for a week of immersive experiences with the Ashkelon cohort. We will have the unique opportunity to live and learn like locals through the warmth of home hospitality from the Ashkelon cohort and curated experiences to explore the impact of the Partnership and what it means to be Jewish in Israel. Travel to Israel is scheduled for June 23-30, 2026 and will be evaluated based on the security situation at the time.

Program Requirements:

  • Attend in-person and virtual sessions between September 2025 and Summer 2026. Dates and times TBD.
